causes of low voltage in generator

A voltage drop is overall drop in voltage loss in a circuit due to impedance,
an impedance is the overall opposition to the flow of current in an a.c circuit.

Below are some common causes of voltage drop in a circuit
·          If speed control gain is set very low to respond to the load applied
·         If automatic voltage regulation is set too low to respond to load been applied
·          If AVR feedback is from generator bus and voltage deeps too far,, all excitation could be loss  and his would automatically result to under voltage and under current
·         If load applied to generator exceed its capacity, this will cause  the gen to slow down, resulting in a drop in frequency and  voltage .
·          Inability of turbo to provide enough air  of  pressure while taking a load, this will cause a machine to slow down and cause a drop of voltage.
And more.
