generator not producing enough voltage

when a generator is not producing enough voltage it could be one of the following reasons
wrong fuel to oil mixture: when the ratio of the fuel to engine oil in generator is inaccurate , the generator will not product the required power, if the engine is very low the  fuel to burn out very fast  at high current and voltage and if the ratio of the fuel is very high o that of the engine oil the power the current will be at low voltage.
Overloading: it may be due to overloading. When the amount of power required by the electric appliances cannot be met by the generator, the voltage will the generator will go down. Most generator adjust their rate of fuel consumption and out voltage with level attached load. Therefore a possible cause of low voltage is overloading
If automatic voltage regulation is set too low to respond to load been applied.
