what can you run on a 1500 watt generator

In a 1500 watt generator , the value 1500 watt is the amount of load the generator can support at a time, a generator like any other electric appliances have two ratings the starting watt and the running watt, the starting watt is maximum watt and the amount of energy it require to kick start while the running watt is the amount of load the generator can support at a time.
Like the generator electric appliances are also rated, they have both starting watts and running watt or in other words the maximum and the minimum watt.
All appliances require the maximum watt to start and run, meaning they need this power to run, what will you do to find out these amount of energy.
It is simple , you first start by finding the wattage of your all your home appliance, find the minimum and maximum watt,  for example a 10w  table fan  can have a 25watt starting watt, a 10 watt tablet charger can have 25watt starting watts, a 300 watt strimmer can have a 500watt starting watt a 600watt microwave can have 1700watt starting  watt. A 7500watt power shower can have a starting watt of 10500 watt. A 4 watt smart phone  charger can have a starting watt of 7watt.
Alternatively some appliance have same starting and running watt for example a 3000watt hot water immersion heater has a starting watt of 3000watt, a 400watt submersible water pump can have a starting watt of 400 watt, a 500watt washing machine can have a running watt of 500 watt.
You can find these values from the manufactures user manual for each appliances.
If your power requirement of all your appliances is below 1500 watt then these generator is ok for you, but if it more than 1500 watt then you will have to make some choices.
