is it good to use stabilizer with generator

To use a stabilizer to generator to home appliance depend on two condition.

 If it is single home  small generator  or common portable generator use for a personal home use, then there is not need of using a stabilizer to your generators, most of these generators come with a fixed voltage of 220v you don’t need to stabilize anything.

 The only thing I will suggest  you do is to switch on more appliances  if you observe that the power if so much for the load or to switch of some appliance if you observe that  the load is too much for the load.

 In case of a large KVA generator  or community generator you will need a stabilizer  to staiize the  the voltage.

 This large generator has no difference with normal mains supply.

 You will need a stabilizer to either step up or step down the voltage to your desired voltage.

  When you are using a community generators other people are also tapping their power from te same source the voltage may be will be lower and some high energy consuming appliance like refrigerator cannot work . therefore you need a stabilizer.

 As I said before, a small home portable generator with low  power rating  do not need a stabilizer, the power they supply   is usually lower an do not need a  a voltage regulator.

 Using a stabilizer on this type of generator is dangerous and should be avoided  at all cost, most stabilizers draws more electric power  and if you allow them on you small low KVA  generator it  will simply spoil the generator.

 Stabilizers are not made for small generators as their power rating is within home use, I will suggest you switch off some appliance when you observe low voltage or witch on some appliance when you observe high voltage.
